CLEAN DHAKA: GREEN DHAKA
Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is grappling with a severe environmental crisis. The city, once renowned for its natural beauty, has become increasingly uninhabitable due to rampant pollution and urban sprawl. Air quality has deteriorated to alarming levels, with Dhaka frequently ranked among the world's most polluted cities. Its waterways, once vital lifelines, are now choked with chemical waste and plastic debris, and encroaching development. The city's green spaces are rapidly dwindling, replaced by towering skyscrapers.
In response to this urgent situation, Hearth Bangladesh has launched the Clean Dhaka: Green Dhaka campaign. This comprehensive initiative aims to protect Dhaka's environment from the detrimental effects of pollution. By engaging individuals from all walks of life, from schoolchildren to lawmakers, the campaign seeks to create a more sustainable and livable city for its residents.
